There we have it. Well done to Daniel for winning DSDS 2009. He does have a great voice & could make a great success if managed correctly. What…he hasn’t won yet?? Well, it’s only a formality isn’t it? Let’s face is – Sarah does not have a chance against Daniel.
The only other contestant who could have given him a run for the title was Annemarie, but she sang herself out of the contest with her poorest performances of the season on Saturday. Her only hope was for the audience to phone for her, based on all her performances this season, but this was not the case.
Again, Sarah was praised for her performances, even though she forgot the lyrics once again…embarrassing, very embarrassing for her & the entire show. Let’s not forget that all contestants in the UK (X-Factor) & USA (American Idol) are told before the first knockout rounds – If you forget the lyrics, you are out!
What goes beyond my understanding was the reaction of the judges once Sarah was given the nod for the final. They were celebrating the exit of Annemarie like a bunch of schoolchildren who had just past Grade 2. Surely such a show must portrait a professional environment, which includes presenter, judges & contestants. It’s a pitty to see 3 people of such influence & power within the German music industry despise a 19-year old girl who is trying to make her dreams come true…
That’s me for this week
